my memories with grandad i dont think i could ever forget! especially when he used to shake my hand and squeeze it, i never knew weather to laugh or cry, so i just used to drop to the floor and then he lifted me up whilst tickling me so i couldnt get away. Also i remeber there was one of dawns old cars on their driveway and i always used to sit in it and think i was driving and grandad came in and was pretending we was going along! he was so caring and didnt have a bad word to say about anyone. he was always making everybody laugh and pulling faces when pauline was using the video camera. i have so many more memories with him but i think it would take me a week to write them. I just wish he was here still so we could have more great times together and as a family. but as long as he is ok now and out of pain that is all that matters.  i miss you soo much grandad. you will always be in my thoughts. x

I have so many memorys of my lovely grandad!! and i am so thankful to have them. When i think of him i just see him smiling, he was always smiling, never down. and put on such a brave face, despite what pain he was feeling. He is the best grandad i could ever ask for and im so priveleged to say he was my grandad!! i always remember going to nany and grandads playing on there tree out the front, and walking into the frontroom past grandads chair and he would always tickle me. He was full of so much love and hapiness!! I remember when he wa sin the nursing home and he rung me to tell me hed seen a squirrel, i just wish i spoke to him for longer now. but im sure hes at peace now and in a place where he feels no pain. Love you forever and always and ill see you again one day.All my love Stacey XxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXx

My memories of Vic are as my big brother & a good friend. We had a lot of good times & got on well together. When we were on the farm our best pastime was climbing trees, the favourite was our big conker tree, but we had to be careful as there was a spiked fence under that tree. We also had our favourite calf Billy who used to come when called & let us have rides on it. We also used to borrow a neighbours dog ’Tiny’ & do a lot of rat catching. Later on when Vic was working on the farm in Minnis rd. I used to go with him on the tractor & trailer to collect seaweed & we got stuck in the sand once when we stopped to top up a bit more, the tide was coming in & we had to work fast to partly unload & dig out both the tractor & trailer, we still topped up a bit more seaweed further on, just making it in time before the tide caught us. I’m sure our minds used to think alike as when we were at 327, I remember on a cold & snowy morning we both looked at each other & without saying a word we grabbed both Phyl & Bet & put them outside in the snow shutting the door on them for a short while.

What fine memories. God bless you Vic, rest in peace. Cyril.

My Dad, well he was just the best ever, I have so many happy memories as a child going to work with him, on the land, gardening jobs, Bowketts. I would be up really early to go off with him. My days were filled with fun and learning. He had a smile for everyone. He would lighten up anywhere he was and make people feel happy. He taught me so much, to drive was one I remember well, he did a good job, I think. He had so much patience with me. If I was ill he would always come and sit on my bed and soothe me with his words and comfort me as best he could. He had many nasty things happen to him and yet he would never ever complain, he would shrug his shoulders and say oh! well. The pain he endured throughout his life, without a single moan, I now realise what he went through. Dad you made one huge family brim with smiles. I could go on forever about you. You were always hard working and did your best to look after us girls. We didn't have a lot of material things as children, but we had a world of love from you and Mum. I would count us as very lucky having a Dad like you. The Best ever. Your ever loving daughter, Pauline. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

I have some lovely memories of you dad, especially at christmas time. They were magical. On christmas eve us girls would pretend we were asleep, and you would creep up the stairs with our presents and put them at the end of our beds, then at 6am we all came into your bedroom. Mum was always awake early and excited and we ould open our presents. Then go downstairs to a lovely coal fire which you had lit and we would open another present each from under the christmas tree. You suffered alot of pain through the years but you still kept smiling and you were always there for us no matter what, I'm so glad i had a wonderful dad and every time i think of you i see that lovely smiling face.

Your ever loving daughter, Annette xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
